LSA Meeting: New Submission Process / Oct. 15th Deadline

Reposted from LSA Mailing:

We are very excited to present the 2016 LSA Annual Meeting, June 2-5 in New Orleans!

The meeting will take place at the New Orleans Marriott, which features more meeting rooms and more guest rooms to fully accommodate this growing conference.  We have posted some early information about the meeting, including the theme and the submission schedule at www.lawandsociety.org/NewOrleans2016/neworleans2016.html.

New this year! Submit a 1000 word summary instead of a short abstract.

We wanted to alert you to a change to the paper proposal process that the Program Committee is implementing. For reasons explained in the link below, we will require those proposing papers, either submitted under the rubric of a Collaborative Research Network (CRN) or other organized session, or as a stand-alone submission, to provide a 1,000 word summary of their proposed paper rather than the often minimal abstract that has been asked for in the past. Those proposing to organize a roundtable will be asked to provide a 500 word summary of the topic and the contributions they expect the proposed participants to make. Get more information at www.lawandsociety.org/NewOrleans2016/2016-New-in-NewOrleans.html.
